It was the last day of Adventure Camp and I was looking forward to shredding hard with Cooper and Marvin but Mother Nature had other plans. It was pouring rain in the Village with winds gusting up to 75kph up top which lead to long lift lines and a lot of wet kids and Instructors first thing in the morning. Morgan, Ellen and I had nine level fours we needed to split and we were told to upload on the Fitzsimmons Chair. Did I mention it was pouring rain? By the time we reached the top of Garbanzo Chair we were all soaking wet and freezing! And even though it was snowing at the top of Garbo, it was a heavy heavy wet snow.
All of us immediately went into Chic Pea for some hot cocoa and to warm up. After a half hour, we bundled back up and headed back outside. We snowboarded down Lower Whiskey Jack and uploaded onto Emerald Chair .... it was raining at the bottom of Emerald Chair. By the time we reached Roundhouse level, we were freezing again so we went into the Roundhouse where the kids kept busy in the Nintendo Gaming Zone.
The precipitation slowed down a bit around 11:15 and we all snowboarded down to the CLC for lunch. Ellen went home and Morgan and I team taught in the afternoon. The rain/snow had stopped and the sun even came out for a bit but our feet and gloves were all pretty wet by late afternoon. Needless to say we didn't get much snowboarding done but the kids all had fun. I also had fun teaching with Morgan. We all congratulated each other for making it through the day.
