The good and the bad of Day 49. Let's start with the bad: instead of snowing all day, it rained all day. Rumor has it, it was raining at the Alpine for most of the afternoon. bummer!! Hopefully the temps will drop and that rain will turn to snow overnight. My fingers are crossed.
Now the good: I love this snowboard instructing job! Today I had 9 level 2 riders, all 12yrs old. We spent the morning on the Magic Chair (the slowest chair from hell by the way). Ate lunch at the Wizard (way better food than 18below) and then took the Excalibur Gondola up Blackcomb. It was a first time gondola ride for a few of the boys, so they were stoked to go up in it. We then hit the Wizard chair, back to gondola (etc.) for the rest of the afternoon. It was an all around great day! and the guys went home pumped up to come back next week!
