I was happy to get a higher level class today until we went up top and found hard packed icy conditions. It snowed about 2cm overnight but that did nothing to cover up the hard pack that has been melting since the beginning of the week. Not to mention, it was cold and cloudy with a mix of freezing rain/snow. Once you hit Emerald, the icy conditions immediately turned to slush! I had a hard time taking my boys somewhere to ride. The park was too icy, the trees were too icy, and the lower runs were too slushy. It was a long day -- but it ended on a good note when the sun decided to start shining around 2pm.
