Day 71 | Powder Outage

Powder Outage!  Another foot of champagne powder fell overnight and snow conditions right now are EPIC! AWESOME! AMAZING! MIND-BLOWING! JAW-DROPPING!  and those words don't even come close to describing how much fun it is!!

I hate to say there is too much snow because that would never be the case, but if you don't enjoy powder, these days are not your friend.  All green runs were groomed but the groomers left plenty of powder on the sides and the powder was deep!  Thigh high easily and higher in some spots.  It was impossible to not get stuck if you strayed too far from the groomer.  I got up a lot of speed and surfed into the powder and surfed back out.  There was plenty of fresh tracks to be found.  We found freshies on Tokum after 2pm!

I had my two level fours again and we spent most of our day on the blacks on Whistler.  At one point we ran all the way down to Creekside.  The snow is soft packed almost the entire length back to the valley.  Once again we weren't allowed to do trees but there was plenty of snow around blues and greens so we weren't missing out on anything.

We've received 71 inches of fresh snow in 7 days!  In January we only received 77 inches for the entire month!  February is shaping up to be the best month of the season ---
