Day 53 | vapor trail

Friends from Arizona are visiting for a long weekend and their first day on Whistler was blessed with gorgeous weather and sunny skies.  My friend Fi is still in the middle of her holiday as well so we had a full chair.  We landed at the top of Big Red Express around 11am and slowly made our way over to Symphony.

We started with a warm up run down Whiskey Jack.  Next up was a blue run down Green Acres.  We took GS into Harmony and once at the top of Harmony, we made our way down Burnt Stew Trail and into Symphony.  The views of Symphony were amazing of course.  We lost Jill on the first run as she ended up following a group of people back to Harmony.  No biggee.  We eventually found her and then took Pika's Traverse over to the Roundhouse and had a quick lunch.

Last run was off of Peak Chair.  Scott wanted to end the day doing Peak to Creek as fast as he could .... "leaving a vapor trail".  He set up his GPS and off he went.  We girls took it a bit more slowly, taking our time down the 4 mile run, enjoying the views and the warm sun.  Scott clocked himself at a max speed of 28mph and made it to Creekside in about 15 minutes.  The Peak to Creek run drops out below my ski out so we ended up having to walk home.  No one seemed to complain.  Some snow is forecasted to fall tonight so hopefully tomorrow will be just as amazing.
